Our British friends were the first to launch this initiative through their association Banknote Watch. The success of this enterprise was such that we decided to adopt and adapt the concept for France.

Alan Townsend is the President of Banknote Watch as well as the sponsor of our association.

Other associations, such as Occhio alla Banconota in Italy, were then established.
